In the meantime, feel free to think about which level of engagement would be most appropriate for your organization:
Executive Level
The highest level of engagement. Churches who are members of WAEMA (Whittier Area Evangelical Ministerial Alliance) are invited to be part of the Executive level. Leadership positions within Green Leaf are reserved for Executive Level churches only. Executive Level churches agree to financially contribute ¼ of 1% of their total overall church operating budget towards this collective ministry.Executive level churches are involved in the strategic planning of initiatives, suggest Board members, and have representation in the Advisory Group. All executive level churches agree with the Statement of Faith and the Statement of Beliefs.
Associate Level
The second level of church engagement, reserved for churches that preach and claim the name of Jesus Christ but who are not members of WAEMA. We are not asking for a financial commitment from the Associate Level churches. Associate Level churches can commit to participating and partnering by mobilizing Christ followers to be involved with the various Initiatives. These churches are part of a strategic response by The Body of Christ to the issues and challenges in our city, in the name of Jesus.
Partner Level
We engage and partner with our City, County, businesses, nonprofits, agencies, and any other organization with a desire to serve the Whittier community. Cross-sector partnership is needed to establish a holistic strategy to address each challenge, create social enterprises, increase awareness, and create long term sustainability. We welcome partnership as we work together to address our city’s greatest challenges.
